Sage Safaris offers Orvis endorsed wingshooting opportunities hunting wild upland birds across tens of thousands of acres of Montana’s Great Plains.  Often referred to as America’s Serengeti, the sagebrush plains of northern Montana offer excellent habitat for Pheasant, Sharptail Grouse and Hungarian Partridge among an incredible diversity of other wildlife.

With a season that extends from September to December our guests enjoy wingshooting for wild upland game in an exclusive and unique setting.

We pride ourselves on offering an exceptional level of service so from the moment you arrive every detail of your stay is taken care of. We will never book more than one group at a time so you can relax in the privacy our camp, knowing that you will be the only group to hunt with us for the duration of your stay.

2011 Season Underway

New Arrivals

This has been a summer of new arrivals. We have just welcomed into the world our second son Samuel (both mom and babe doing well!) and in a few weeks we'll be welcoming Kyle Dean as our guest chef for the season. (Son Samuel putting Sarah out of action for a while!) Kyle comes to us from the acclaimed Cafe Kandahar in Whitefish, Montana and brings with him the experience and expertise of Head Chef Andy Blanton. New menu's are sounding sumptuous to say the least!! We can't wait to dine with our guests just to enjoy the new food!

We still have some availability for this fall and some last minute specials are now on our specials page. So come and sample some excellent hunting and excellent food!   

Single Hunters looking for a hunting partner

We currently have a single hunter looking to partner up with another single hunter or couple of hunters for an upland hunt this fall. If you would like to come hunt with us and would also like to avoid a single person supplement give us a call and we'll see if we can pair you up. Inspired by luxury tented camps found on African safaris, our on-site accommodation boasts canvas wall tents each finished with wooden floors, real beds, a wood stove and safari furniture. Each tent has its own private wet room with permanent heating and a walk-in shower a few steps away. In addition there is a communal lodge which houses the camp’s kitchen, lounge and dining area.
